Overview

The Solar Panel Voltage Regulator is a device used to prevent lead-acid batteries from overcharging by serving as a blocking diode when a battery’s voltage is greater than the solar array voltage. When mounted to a solar panel, the voltage regulator facilitates safe float charging for solar batteries as it draws no current from the battery, preserving and extending overall battery life. Each Solar Panel Voltage Regulator is protected from overheating by a thermal switch that momentarily interrupts the current flow when the voltage regulator is dissipating excessive heat.
